MySpace has announced that it has entered into an agreement to purchase iLike, a social music
discovery service. iLike was first founded back in 2006 by brothers Ali and Hadi Partovi. In just two years iLike became the largest music application across all social networks with 55 million total users.

The brothers are no strangers to acquisitions and start-ups. Ali founded and sold LinkExchange to Microsoft while Hardi co-founded and sold TellMe Networks to Microsoft as well. Ali and Hardi Partovi will remain in their roles at the company as CEO and President respectively in addition to Nat Brown who will remain iLike’s CTO.
