Apple confirms no future support for iPhone 2G
Steve Jobs replies personally to email from user to apologise for lack of future support
Apple chief executive Steve Jobs has apparently confirmed that the firm will not be offering support for its iPhone 2G, in a terse reply to a customer’s email.
A German user with the Twitter handle @Ven000m emailed Jobs and asked: “Hey Steve! Is Apple supporting/updating the iPhone 2G in the future?” Jobs replied: “Sorry, no.”
The customer subsequently posted a screenshot of the email reply and email source code on Twitter to verify its authenticity.
