ltube is the new version of LocalTube, it now supports video conversion based on the ffmpeg encoder. It produces videos playable on video iPods or iRiver h300 series.
The program should produce iPod playable videos from YouTube’s FLVs (Xvid 320×240, 768k/s, aac stereo 64 k/s), currently it’s not integrated with iTunes so you have to put your video manually on the player. iRiver support Tested.

Pod Player is a freeware application to be used with your iPod. It allows you to play music from your iPod while it is connected to your PC. When launched, it will look for an attached iPod and when it finds one it will read the music database on the iPod. You will then be able to views your songs in a similar way as in iTunes (by artist, genre, album, playlist, etc). You can now also extract songs from it. There are a few little extra features such as iPod Hacks, checking for duplicates etc. You can play your music on any computer when you iPod is connected without the need to install any programs such as iTunes.

Apple’s iPod Mini is to gain a colour display but lose its hard drive in a major, post-ROKR shake-up of the Mac maker’s music player line-up.
So claims website Think Secret citing a variety of moles.
Like the iPod Shuffle, the Mini will gain Flash storage in place of the hard drive, though its capacity will not be reduced. Instead, it will be relaunched in 4GB, 6GB and 8GB versions. With no hard disk, battery life is likely to be significantly better than the Mini achieves today, though the move to a 1.5in colour display could counter that. The new release will also be smaller, but the general design - display above clickwheel - is expected to remain the same.
