IronPython is the code name of the new implementation of the Python programming language running on .NET. It supports an interactive console with fully dynamic compilation. It is well integrated with the rest of the .NET Framework and makes all .NET libraries easily available to Python programmers, while maintaining full compatibility with the Python language.

xacc.ide is a small and fast integrated development environment (IDE) mainly targeted at .NET development. It has syntax support for 27 languages and project support for various compilers. It has support for step debugging .NET based executables. Also featured is brace matching and folding support for some languages.
xacc.ide is also opensource software (OSS). The core is released under the GNU LGPL, and the rest BSD license.

The Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 builds incrementally on the new features added in .NET Framework 3.0. For example, feature sets in Windows Workflow Foundation (WF), Windows Communication Foundation (WCF), Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) and Windows CardSpace. In addition, .NET Framework 3.5 contains a number of new features in several technology areas which have been added as new assemblies to avoid breaking changes. They include the following:

The Microsoft .NET Compact Framework Redistributable contains the common language runtime and class libraries built for the .NET Compact Framework. In addition to version 3.5 support, it also supports applications developed for version 1.0 and 2.0. The .NET Compact Framework 3.5 provides new features such as Windows Communication Foundation, LINQ, SoundPlayer, new runtime tool support, and many other features.
Important: To develop .NET Compact Framework applications, Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 is required.
This package uses ActiveSync 4.0 to update the device. Before running NETCFSetupv35.msi, connect your device to your PC. If your device is not connected, ActiveSync will store the CAB file and will not install the package until you connect. If you are not using ActiveSync, run the CAB files on the device that correspond to the device–specific CAB files found in the install folder.

The Volta technology preview is a developer toolset which enables you to build multi-tier web applications by applying familiar techniques and patterns. You architect and build your application as a .NET client application, assigning the portions of the application that run on the server and the target client platform late in the development process. The compiler manages creating cross-browser JavaScript for web applications, web services for any server side code, and all of the communication, serialization and other boilerplate code to tie the tiers together.
Developers can target either web browsers or the CLR as clients and Volta handles the complexities of tier-splitting for you. Volta contains tools such as end-to-end profiling to make architectural refactoring and optimization simple and quick. In effect, Volta offers a best effort experience in multiple environments without any changes to the application.
