Tired of dealing with rogue software, spyware and malware? Tired of spending countless hours removing unsolicited software? Try Sandboxie.
When you run a program on your computer, data flows from the hard disk to the program via read operations. The data is then processed and displayed, and finally flows back from the progam to the hard disk via write operations.
For example, if you run the Freecell program to play a game, it starts by reading the previously recorded statistics, displaying and altering them as you play the game, and finally writing them back to disk for future reference.
Sandboxie changes the rules such that write operations do not make it back to your hard disk.
Sandboxie can be installed on Microsoft Windows 2000 and /XP/2003/Vista 32, 64-bit.
Sandboxie is provided free of any charges for non-commercial use only.

CryptoExpert creates encrypted virtual disks and these disks are visible as usual disks with drive letters (for example, G:, H:, Z:, i.e. with any drive letter that is not used by other system devices). The data stored on a CryptoExpert disk is stored in the container file. A container is a file, so it is possible to backup a container, move or copy it to other disk (CD-ROM or network, for instance) and continue to access your encrypted data using CryptoExpert. Any free drive letter (or choosen letter) in the system may be used to mount and to open an encrypted file-container for access. When the virtual disk is opened, you can read and write data as if it were a conventional removable disk. You can do anything with a CryptoExpert virtual drive that you can do with a normal hard drive; only that with CryptoExpert, the encrypted volumes require password authentication before the files become accessible.
Works under WinNT/2000/XP/2003

Autostart and Process Viewer gives you a control over applications which start with Windows, and shows which processes are running on your computer. But the most important thing is that this program helps you find out which processes and autostart entries are new. You can “accept” a process or a program starting with windows, and if a new (”unaccepted”) item appears - the program tells you about it.
Why? Simply because most trojans and viruses put themselves to the autostart, and/or, must run as a process, all of this without your knowledge (unless you have this program installed). Of course having a good anti-virus and anti-trojans software is a must, but the key problem is that a certain trojan/virus may not be detected by this programs yet (for example because a trojan is new, and the databases of anti-trojan programs are not yet aware of them).

Tor is a toolset for a wide range of organizations and people that want to improve their safety and security on the Internet. Using Tor can help you anonymize web browsing and publishing, instant messaging, IRC, SSH, and other applications that use the TCP protocol. Tor also provides a platform on which software developers can build new applications with built-in anonymity, safety, and privacy features.
Tor aims to defend against traffic analysis, a form of network surveillance that threatens personal anonymity and privacy, confidential business activities and relationships, and state security. Communications are bounced around a distributed network of servers called onion routers, protecting you from websites that build profiles of your interests, local eavesdroppers that read your data or learn what sites you visit, and even the onion routers themselves.
Tor’s security is improved as its user base grows and as more people volunteer to run servers. Please consider volunteering your time or volunteering your bandwidth. And remember that this is development code it’s not a good idea to rely on the current Tor network if you really need strong anonymity.
Tor is distributed as Free Software under the 3-clause BSD license. The bundles also include Vidalia and Privoxy, which are supporting applications distributed under the GNU GPL.

JonDo - the free client software for JonDonym
JonDo is a free, open-source and highly portable (Java-based) client software for accessing the JonDonym services. Its primary use is the anonymisation of web site requests against web site operators, internet providers and the anonymisation service Operators.
All requests of the web browser have to be processed by the JonDo program instead of accessing the internet directly. JonDo encrypts the data and sends it to the first Mix of a Mix Cascade. The first Mix then mixes the data with that of other users and sends it to the second mix station which passes it on to the third mix station which decrypts and sends the data through a cache proxy to the internet.
Requirements: Windows 95/98/ME/XP/Vista, MacOS X, Linux

KeyPass is a versatile and portable password manager that types your passwords for you! Unlike other password managers that requires tedious cut-and-paste or drag-and-drop operations to enter your passwords, KeyPass types the passwords for you when a user-defined “hot key” is pressed. As such, it works with any browser or application, including web browsers, terminal emulators and corporate services. You are not limited to Internet Explorer alone!
KeyPass stores all your sensitive information in an encrypted database. The information is encrypted using 448-bit blowfish algorithm and a master password is required to unlock the information in the database. You can be sure that only you have access to secret information such as passwords, credit card numbers, PIN numbers and sensitive documents.
The Free Edition of KeyPass has all the features of the Standard Edition, except that you are restricted to adding a maximum of 10 entries to the database.

Test the Secunia Software Inspector (PSI) is an invaluable tool for you to use when assessing the security patch state of software installed on your system. It constantly monitors your system for insecure software installations, notifies you when an insecure application is installed, and even provides you with detailed instructions for updating the application when available.
It is NOT the purpose of the Secunia PSI to detect whether your system has already been compromised or if local changes, settings, or missing requirements could cause the Secunia PSI to report incorrect results. The Secunia PSI relies on the meta-data of executables and library files. The Secunia PSI does NOT conduct an integrity check of the individual files, rather, it checks whether a specific program is vulnerable according to the reported version numbers and not whether the files have been compromised or replaced by other users or programs.
The Secunia PSI is not a replacement for other security measures such anti-virus or personal firewalls, the Secunia PSI is a great supplement to other security measures such as anti-virus and personal firewalls as it helps preventing exploitation of often overlooked exposures.
Additionally, it is important to understand that the process of identifying insecure software installations on any system involves many different factors and, in rare cases, may result in incorrect detections.

SniffPass is small freeware utility that listens to your network, capture the passwords that pass through your network adapter, and display them on the screen instantly. SniffPass can capture the passwords of the following Protocols: POP3, IMAP4, SMTP, FTP, and HTTP (basic authentication passwords).
You can use this utility to recover lost Web/FTP/Email passwords.
System Requirements
SniffPass can capture passwords on any 32-bit Windows operating system (Windows 98/ME/NT/2000/XP/2003/Vista) as long as WinPcap capture driver is installed and works properly with your network adapter.
Under Windows 2000/XP (or greater), SniffPass also allows you to capture TCP/IP packets without installing any capture driver, by using ‘Raw Sockets’ method. However, this capture method has the following limitation:
On Windows XP/SP1 passwords cannot be captured at all - Thanks to Microsoft’s bug that appeared in SP1 update…
This bug was fixed on SP2 update, but under Vista, Microsoft returned back the outgoing packets bug of XP/SP1.
This utility is released as freeware.
