Google Desktop gets a makeover
Finding files and documents that you’ve misplaced on your PC should now be even easier for users of Google’s Desktop search tool.
Google Desktop 5 beta is now available to download and it will allow you to preview search results inside the browser, so you won’t have to wait while an application such as Word or Excel opens up just to see if you’ve got the right file.
Other improvements have been made in the new version, including some to increase the security of the application.
