Written on August 25, 2008 – 9:01 pm | by GoogleBot |

IronPython is the code name of the new implementation of the Python programming language running on .NET. It supports an interactive console with fully dynamic compilation. It is well integrated with the rest of the .NET Framework and makes all .NET libraries easily available to Python programmers, while maintaining full compatibility with the Python language.

System Requirements

- Supported Operating Systems: Windows 2000; Windows Server 2003; Windows Vista; Windows XP; Windows XP 64-bit

You must install the Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0 Redistributable Package prior to installing IronPython.

Note: If you have already installed Microsoft Visual Studio 2005, you do not need to install the .NET Framework separately. Visual Studio 2005 includes the .NET Framework.
