Apple Developing iPhone ARM Chip In-House

With the exception of the sieve-like iPod department, Apple is pretty good at keeping a secret. The Mac and iPhone sections are pretty watertight when it comes to leaks. Until now.

Wei-han Lien, chief of Apple’s chip team, posted his job description to LinkedIn, revealing that he is heading the “ARM CPU architecture team for iPhone”. Lien was part of PA Semi, the chip maker which was bought by Apple in April.
