CES: Sony confirms Skype for PSP Slim

A few days ago, we reported on the rumblings that Sony was planning to bring Skype to the PSP and that an announcement would likely arrive during CES. Today, Sony has confirmed that very feature, which will essentially make the PSP into a pretty handy (and relatively inexpensive) mobile Skype phone in addition to a handheld entertainment unit.

The feature is slated to arrive via a firmware update some time in late January and will require that users have both a memory stick and a Skype-compatible headset.
