The future of Google mobile search: mapped results

Google’s latest patent in mobile search hints at what the search giant has planned for the future: maps and improved usability. The patent, originally dug up by ZDnet’s Russell Shaw, is called “Local Search and Mapping for Mobile Devices” and references methods for making mobile search results on devices with tiny screens, such as PDAs and phones, much more rich. The trick is doing so while still remaining usable with limited inputs.
