Yahoo Mail Taps into IM, Text Messages
Yahoo’s new version of Yahoo Mail enables users to send text messages to mobile phones and instant messages to users of Yahoo Messenger and Windows Live Messenger.
Internet giant Yahoo has introduced a new version of its Web-based Yahoo Mail service, enabling users to send text messages to mobile phones and instant messages to users of Yahoo Messenger and Windows Live Messenger. The new version will start rolling out to users worldwide today, although Yahoo Mail users will be able to stick with traditional Yahoo Mail functionality by using “Yahoo Mail Classic,” which has the advantage of supporting older Web browsers.
