Twitter to Offer Companies More Features, Some Paid

A little while back rumors ran riot about the possibility that Twitter could start charging certain corporate users for accounts. While Twitter made every effort to assure users this was not the case however, today reports say that Twitter will be offering businesses the chance to pay for a sort of ‘Twitter Pro’ with more features.

Way back in February in an interview with Marketing magazine, co-founder of Twitter Biz Stone discussed the possibility of the micro-blogging site charging companies for accounts.

“We noticing more companies using Twitter and individuals following them. We can identify ways to make this experience even more valuable and charge for commercial accounts.”
