  1. windows live messenger build 14.0.8064.206 is the most aggravating piles of bundled junk I have seen in ages.
What are the boys in Redmond worried about that they MUST bundle all this just so you can use their “instant messenger”?
Sorry boys, lost this long time user.
While I am at it I may as well just boot from Ubuntu from here on out
I am uninstalling all of it and going to ICQ, and use my Google chat more…enough is enough
    What has happened to Microsoft?

  2. Windows messenger live build 14.0.8064.206 is not a bad version of messenger but it has began to annoy me because all of a sudden my webcam doesn’t work anymore in it which doesn’t make any sense becuz wen i downgrade to the previous version my webcam works perfectly except for the fact that it keeps freezing for no apparent reason. It’s really getting to me and Microsoft needs to start improving on their software….

  3. I have build windows live messenger build 14.0.8064.206 and I am having problems with my webcam, too. There are big, red x’s where the cam pics should be, apparently after a recent upgrade. Its always worked fine until recently. Has MSN fixed this problem???

  4. It’s not web cams that doesn’t work, it’s my beloved music mix that won’t even show up (I updated windows media player even). All I get under activities are MSN Messenger, MSN TV, Mimic, Photo Swap, and something about IMing an article.

Was it removed from WLM 2009 Build 14? Am I asking in the wrong place?

  5. The web cam doesn’t work, I can not send photos, and I don’t see pictures on the display icon with this new version. Before, everything was working fine. This is annoying. I am missing something here?

  6. I just loaded version 2009 (build 14.0.8089.726)

Holy crap!. Video freezes after about 10 seconds. Then one cam will work and the person I am talking to does not. Then it switches the other way. Even when video does work, the quality is horrible. I would have never upgraded but I HAD to. It wouldn’t let me log into the old version anymore (where I was having absolutely no problems at all). I know this can’t be an isolated incident, because a friend just upgraded the same thing and is having the exact same problems.

  7. I can’t even login with this version! I click login and the two little guys just spin around eternally! No error message or anything! Anybody knows how to fix this?

  8. Windows live messenger 2009 is totally crap. The 2008 version was so much better and reliable.
I have had constant prblems with my webcam video ever since I was forced to upgrade. Even now only my audio works but video doesn’t. Can’t microsoft atleast test their softwares before releasing …..what a shame !!!
there’s no website help either to fix the problem ????
