Yahoo begins overhaul of Internet’s most popular start page
Yahoo today began limited US and UK testing of the new homepage redesign we’ve been reporting. Yahoo has ambitious plans to open up the most trafficked website in the worldâ€â€yahoo.comâ€â€to third-party services and widgets. We spoke with Yahoo about the changes, and why it’s time to make them.
As Yahoo has stated various times since announcing these redesign plans, the new Yahoo.com has cleaned up quite a bit and slimmed down to six essential elements, ranging from the search box, news compartments, and a new, customizable “My Applications” bar on the left.
