by admin July 5, 2006 at 9:35 am

JMicroVision was designed to describe, measure, quantify and classify components of all kinds of images (even larger than 100 MB). JMicroVision has a simple and intuitive user interface with powerful features. It contains tools to quantify either manually or automatically.

JMicroVision has been developed especially to analyze high definition images of rock thin sections, but it can easily be used in other domains.

Main Features

?¢‚Ǩ¬£ Read images in TIFF, BMP, FlashPiX, GIF, JPEG, PNG, and PNM formats
?¢‚Ǩ¬£ Efficient visualization system
?¢‚Ǩ¬£ Quantify components: objects or background
?¢‚Ǩ¬£ Object analysis (size, shape, orientation, texture …)
?¢‚Ǩ¬£ Object classification
?¢‚Ǩ¬£ Image processing (binary and morphology operations, filtering, segmentation…)
?¢‚Ǩ¬£ Image rectification (geometric corrections by control points)
?¢‚Ǩ¬£ Digital point counting
?¢‚Ǩ¬£ Tools for data collection in one or two dimensions
?¢‚Ǩ¬£ Image annotation and description card
