Google Social Search experiment graduated to beta status

Google’s Social Search experiment is being prepped to duke it out with the big boys, where it has now entered beta status. You will need to have a Google profile before being able to obtain results from Social Search, but this could very well be a double-edged sword depending on how you look at it. For the uninitiated, Social Search can add information and images from users’ public pages to the results of online searches conducted by members of their social network.
