The Intel PROSet/Wireless Software provides the freedom and flexibility to work and play without hunting for a phone jack, network cable, or plugging in a special card. Using industry tested compatibility, you can use the software to easily connect to wireless LAN networks in your home, at the office, or on the road at hotspots in airports, hotels and coffee shops.+

As enterprises continue to deploy and invest in WLAN infrastructure, Intel is helping enable additional usage models and functionality that will put their WLAN investment to even greater use. New capabilities include using 802.11e QoS to make VoIP calls, and greater control over centrally deploying corporate wide profiles and settings on clients.

In addition to supporting standards-based solutions, Intel PROSet/Wireless Software is designed to support Cisco Compatible Extensions* v4.0. Intel is the lead collaborator with Cisco on Cisco Compatible Extensions. Intel PROSet/Wireless Software is available from a variety of notebook manufacturers to address the demanding needs of their IT customers.
