Microsoft may offer cheap copies of new operating system Vista in a bid to get people to upgrade.

Although Vista has been beset with delays and is now not expected until January at the earliest, Microsoft bosses have told US media that the company is in talks with PC makers and computer retailers about possible promotions.

The company is staying tight-lipped about details, and a UK spokesperson told Web User: ?¢‚Ǩ?ìWe have no details about the offer to share at this time.?¢‚Ǩ¬ù
