O2 tipped as UK iPhone provider

Reports in this morning’s press suggest that mobile operator O2 has won the battle to be the service provider for Apple’s iPhone when it launches in the UK.

O2, owned by Spanish firm Telefonica, seems to have snatched the prize away from under the noses of Vodafone, who was tipped by industry insiders to win the iPhone contract.
