Week in Microsoft: builds 7068, 7070 will run on inexpensive laptops

Windows 7 is inching ever closer to its release later this year, and two of our top stories from the past week bring us delicious screenshots of the upcoming goodness.

Late last week, the first screenshots from build 7068 were leaked. The screenies showed how Microsoft is tweaking the default gadgets.

Just a few short days later, we got to see what build 7070 looked like amid indications that Microsoft was getting ready to choose a release candidate escrow build. Build 7070 was compiled on March 27, and it’s highly likely that either 7070, 7071, or 7072 will become the RC-escrow build.
