Record industry threatens YouTube

Universal Music may sue YouTube and MySpace for copyright infringement, it is claimed.

Both websites carry music videos from Universal, the world’s largest record company, and Universal head Doug Morris is reportedly unhappy with the company’s property being shown for free.

He told US investors last week: ?¢‚Ǩ?ìWe believe these new businesses are copyright infringers and owe us tens of millions of dollars. How we deal with these companies will be revealed shortly.?¢‚Ǩ¬ù
